Lebanese Army receives second batch of financial support from Qatar

The Lebanese Army Command has received the second batch of financial support announced by Qatar within the framework of supporting the Lebanese army and as a contribution to support the salaries of army personnel.In a statement on Wednesday, the Lebanese army said that it would start distributing the grant equally to all soldiers this week.Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces Gen. Joseph Aoun expressed appreciation for the valuable initiative of Qatar, considering that Qatar remains a strong supporter of Lebanon and its army in times of adversity. He expressed that relations between the two sides will be further strengthened in the future.In late June, Qatar announced providing USD60 million in support to the Lebanese army.In July 2021, Qatar also announced that it would support the Lebanese army with 70 tons of foodstuff per month for a year.
