His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday morning.
At the outset of the session, His Highness the Amir welcomed the Egyptian President and the accompanying delegation, wishing the fraternal relations between the two countries further development and growth, and hoping that this visit would contribute to the consolidation of cooperation relations between the two countries to achieve the aspirations and interests of the two brotherly peoples.
For his part, President El-Sisi expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for the warm reception and hospitality, hoping to strengthen relations between the two fraternal countries and push them to broader horizons at all levels.
During the session, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, especially in the field of investment, transport and social affairs, in addition to discussing several current regional and international issues of common concern.
The session was also attended by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE the Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE the Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, and HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani.
On the Egyptian side, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala El-Said, Chief of the President's Office Major General Ahmed Mohammed Ali, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation attended the session.
His Highness the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the accompanying delegation.
The Egyptian President had arrived earlier at the Amiri Diwan, where he was accorded an official reception ceremony.
