His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan Wednesday morning.
At the outset of the session, the Amir welcomed the Egyptian president and the delegation accompanying him, wishing the fraternal relations between the two countries further development and growth, and hoping that this visit would contribute to the consolidation of cooperation relations between the two countries to achieve the aspirations and interests of the two brotherly peoples.
The Egyptian president expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for the warm reception and hospitality, hoping to strengthen relations between the two fraternal countries and push them to broader horizons at all levels.
During the session, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, especially in the field of investment, transport and social affairs, in addition to discussing several current regional and international issues of common concern.
The session was also attended by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, HE Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida al-Kaabi, and HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Qassim al-Thani.
On the Egyptian side, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr Hala El-Said, Chief of the President's Office Major General Ahmed Mohamed Ali, and a number of members of the official delegation attended the session.
His Highness the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of El-Sisi and the accompanying delegation.
Earlier upon his arrival at the Amiri Diwan, El-Sisi was accorded an official reception.
