Ideal Indian School observed September 5 as Teachers’ Day in memory of the former president of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great philosopher and thinker who spent most of his life teaching Indian philosophy at home and abroad.
The campus wore a festive look with students coming to school in their casual dresses. They welcomed the teachers at the entrance of the school with a badge and chocolate as a token of their love and respect. Some of the senior students acted as teachers for their juniors. They also organised a variety of entertainment and felicitation programmes for their teachers.
Later in the evening, the school management hosted a dinner to honour the teachers. President Dr Hassan Kunhi, was the chief guest. Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb also spoke. Teachers who were instrumental in bringing high levels of excellence in the performance of students of classes 10th and 12th CBSE examinations were felicitated. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of Teachers’ Day competitions.
Teachers from various sections presented a cultural programme. Sharon and Glory Thomas compered the function.
