Kahramaa observes World Ozone Day

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) observed the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer in Kahramaa Awareness Park while holding various events. The events, according to an official statement, were aimed at spreading awareness and raising public awareness and introducing the ozone layer and its importance to our planet and life forms on it.

These events are held annually by Kahramaa’s National Programme for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed). The celebration of this day is also part of Kahramaa’s efforts to address climate change and to secure a healthy environment for today’s and future generations. It’s worth noting that, since its establishment, Kahramaa has worked as a primary partner for the public and private sectors and as a permanent supporter of all initiatives and strategic plans that promote environmental protection and aim to reduce carbon emissions.
