The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) Qatar chapter held its third technical seminar, general membership meeting and presentation of candidates for the 2023 board of directors recently, in a hybrid format.
Philippine labour attache Adam A Musa attended the event, which brought together 282 participants from electrical practitioners in Qatar, the Philippines, and other Gulf countries, as well as electrical engineering students from various universities in the Philippines.
The event was also graced by Professional Regulation Commission – Board of Electrical Engineering chairman Francis V Mapile and member Jaime V Mendoza, incumbent IIEE national president Feliciano F Padua III, 2022 IIEE Foreign Region governor Jerene B TalaM, and 2016-2018 IIEE Middle East Region governor Robert U Mabulay.
The event was chaired by Lyndon A Ellevera, vice-president technical, under the auspices of the board of directors/former presidents and advisers led by the 2022 chapter president Lauren M Olivos. At the ceremony, 35 newly-conferred Asean chartered professional engineers were also recognised.
