MoI celebrates graduation of two new police officer batches

The Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by the Police Institute, celebrated the graduation of the 14th and 15th batches of new police officers who participated in an intensive training programme.The programme aimed to physically and militarily train and prepare the 1,405 participating officers, to provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary for their tasks.The study programme included legal subjects such as Military Service Law, the Criminal Procedure Code, and the Penal Code, as well as police subjects such as criminal investigation, securing and guarding vital facilities, inspection, and security patrols. Training also included an administrative axis including courses covering computer literacy, the art of dealing with the public, Qatari society culture, and secretarial work, in addition to field training, such as infantry training, infantry weapons training, weapons and shooting, physical fitness, engagement and self-defence.Assistant Director of the Police Institute, Captain Faisal Saad al-Hajri, said that the institute was keen to train and qualify new recruits according to the latest training methods, in both theory and practice, in order to prepare them for security work.Moreover, officers received their training under the most competent officers, trainers, and lecturers at the Ministry of Interior for the purpose of securing the World Cup and working in the various departments of the Ministry of Interior.During the ceremony, the graduates presented a distinguished military parade, accompanied by the police philharmonic orchestra, as well as marched in a silent parade, reflecting the strength and quality of the training they received and the skills they trained on.
