The delegation of organising committee of the World Judo Championship Doha 2023 visited Tashkent, Uzbekistan to attend the 2022 World Judo Championships in the Uzbekistani capital this month.   
The delegation, headed by Eid al-Muraikhi – Chairman of the Sports Committee at the World Judo Championships – Doha 2023, was briefed on the experience of the host city of the 2022 edition to enhance knowledge transfer in preparation for the upcoming event in Doha.
Al-Muraikhi lauded the level of the current edition in Tashkent on both organisational and technical levels. “We were briefed, over the last few days, on Tashkent experience in this event which served as a window through which we have followed all the elements and sections of event organization and the visit will help us deliver a perfect edition next year,” he said.
Most notably, the International Judo Federation (IJF) have praised Qatar’s preparations to host 2023 edition of World Judo Championships as the IJF President Marius Vizer has confirmed that the world body will support the Qatar Judo Federation in organising an exceptional edition of the world championships, especially after organizing 2021 Judo World Masters in Doha.
