His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani arrived Tuesday in Astana on a state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Astana International Airport by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation were also welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Special Envoy of the President for International Cooperation Erzhan Kazykhan, Mayor of Astana Altai Kolginov, Qatar's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Abdulaziz bin Sultan al-Rumaihi, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Qatar Arman Issagaliyev, and members of the diplomatic corps at the Qatari embassy.
