Year 4 students at Park House English School were thrilled to meet the national Olympic swimming champion, Nada Mohammed Wafa, recently. In a meeting at the school, she encouraged them to follow their dreams and shared some advice on how they could reach their goals.
Nada competed in the 50m freestyle at the 2012 London Olympics, becoming the first woman to represent Qatar at the Olympics and then again in the Rio 2016 games. During the interaction with students, Nada said: “The key to success is self-confidence whilst following your dreams and achieving your goals, as well as passion, dedication, and determination.”Principal John Smith said: "At Park House English School we feel it is important to ensure our students are inspired to be the best versions of themselves. When they meet and interact with amazing role models, they are motivated to follow their own dreams. We are very grateful that we were able to welcome Nada Mohammed Wafa to our school. As a national hero, we know that she has inspired our entire community.” Park House English School, part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), is one of the first British schools in Doha and has a rich history of excellence.
