Saudi ICT team briefed on Qatar's digital achievements

A delegation from Information and Communications Technology (ICT) system in Saudi Arabia, under the chairmanship of Governor of the Saudi Digital Government Authority Ahmed Mohamed al-Suwaiyan, were briefed on Qatar's achievements of the digital transformation over Qatar Digital Government 2020 strategy and the initiatives that have been launched in this regard. In addition, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Information Technology Affairs at the Ministry of Transport and Communications Mashael Ali al-Hammadi gave a presentation to the visiting delegation. She explained about the goals accomplished according to Qatar Digital Government 2020 strategy, in addition to the multiple vital projects that have been implemented, including the joint government applications, supporting the strategy implementation, operationalising the government infrastructure projects and launching several electronic services. The Saudi delegation also got familiarised with Qatar's journey towards the digital transformation that started years ago within the framework of meticulously prepared strategies and plans emanating from Qatar National Vision 2030. The delegation also listened to a brief overview of the new Qatar Digital Government 2020 strategy which is poised to be launched in the near future.
