Amuaaq organises annual ladies event

Sophia Bukhari (Qatar University) was the patron and chief guest and DPS-Modern Indian School founding member Kausar Hassan Choghule the other chief guest.
The Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar (Amuaaq) organised its annual ladies event “Zaiqa -e- Aligarh 2022 recently under the managing committee presided by Dr Nadeem Zafar Jilani.

Sabeena M K and Tanu Chopra were the guests of honour.The special guests were Dr Hassan Chougule, Abdul Rahman E P, Mohammed Shakeb Ahsan, Vaqas Ahmad, Sameer Chopra, Prof Rizwan Ahmad and Rahat Jamal.Mamnoon Bangash, Faisal Naseem, Farman Khan, Farrukh Farooqi, Dr Shima Sadaf, Dr Mohammed Nayeem, Abad Khan, Dr Ashna, Ghazala, Dr Syed Intekhab Alam, Irfanullah, Syed Shahabuddin, Rizwan Ahmad, Viqar Ahmad, Dr Imtiyaz, Dr Shabbir, Dr Hassan Rizvi, Dr Sajid, Majid Ali, Moahmin Alvi , Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Poonam Sharma, Khurshid Qamar, Lutfi Kakar, Owais Qamar, Mr. Zarrar, Tauhid, Imamuddin, Jawed Ahmad, Dr. Nadeem Jilani (president, AMUAAQ) and many more community leaders graced the occasion. Amuaaq chairman Jawed Ahmad informed that the Zaiqa e Aligarh and women empowerment awareness event was started in 2017. Ladies group vice president Dr Ashna Nusrat and Ghazala Yasmin were the anchors. Mahnoor Khan Fatima started the programme with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an. Mahejabeen Anjum spoke on the topic 'How to Empower Women'. A skit was presented by Ambar and Saima, Zoya Anjum recited a poem and Dr Nusrat presented an awareness video on child abuse. A quiz on food and spice was organised by Sara Ali and Dr Asma for the male members. Chefs Mukesh Gupta, Saifulla and food blogger Afroz were the judges of the culinary contest. The winners: Main course - Khadeeja Parveen; dessert - Falak Rabnawaz; starter - Saba Khan. First runner-up: Main course - Mantasha; dessert - Shahla Khan; starter - Yamina Dalal. Second runner-up: Main course - Nusrat Jahan; dessert - Nusrat Jahan; starter - Nikhat Perween.
