DPS-Modern Indian School principal Asna Nafees was conferred with the ‘Excellence in Education Awards 2022- Category Best Holistic Development of Children’ by the President of Mauritius Prithvirajsing Roopun and the Vice Prime Minister & Education Minister Leela Devi Dookun Luchoomun at a ceremony in Mauritius on October 6.
The event was organised by Intelligent Minds Trust in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, government of Mauritius. Along with the award ceremony, professional training sessions on the 5th Education Revolution and Artificial Intelligence were conducted by Prof Madan Mohan Pant, LMP Education Trust, former Pro vice-chancellor, Ignou, and Kartik Sharma, Artificial Intelligence practitioner and thought leader, respectively. The award ceremony was attended by eminent educationists and members of the Mauritius Cabinet. Nafees thanked the DPS-MIS management and said: "I owe this award to all the stakeholders who have supported me in my endeavour."
