Former headmaster of Ideal Indian School, Prof M Abdul Ali (77) passed way Wednesday in Kerala, India. He was undergoing treatment in MIMS Hospital, Kozhikode for over a week.
He had served as the headmaster as well as the public relations officer of Ideal Indian School for over a decade. He had also served as the principal of two schools in Saudi Arabia for about 12 years.
A renowned historian and a scholar par excellence, Prof Ali has written several books which have attracted the attention of the academic community in Qatar and in India. Several seminars and discussions have taken place based on his findings and views.
He is survived by his wife Prof T Befathima, children Dr Amina and Anjum Ali and sons in-law Dr Anwar and Riyas. His daughter Dr Smitha had died years back. According to his relatives, Janaasa prayers will be held today at 9pm at Feroke Puttekad Juma Masjid.
