A number of fan leaders have expressed their delight that the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is less than 30 days away, with the opening ceremony at Al Bayt Stadium set to take place on November 20.
A number of them highlighted to Qatar News Agency (QNA) the positive impact that football has on bringing people of different cultures closer, thanks to their passion for the world's most popular game.



They stressed that they will continue their efforts of communicating with football fans around the world after they were selected as part of a global programme promoting fan engagement with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Spokesperson of the Fan Leader Network of the Qatar national team, Ali Abdulaziz al-Ishaq, said that everyone is awaiting the start of the major football event.
He stressed that the Qatari fan will be firmly behind their team to support Al Moez Ali, Akram Afif and company in all matches.
He said that they are making special preparations to support the Qatar team to ensure that fans are at the heart of the action.
Head of the Fan Leader Network for England, Steve Mckay, said that Qatar has had the perfect preparation for hosting the tournament, in terms of developing state-of-the-art stadiums and infrastructure, highlighting that the compactness of Qatar 2022 is one of the key features of this edition.



He invited all English fans to come to Qatar before the start of the competition to enjoy the atmosphere and get to experience the World Cup in different parts of Doha and the surrounding areas.
Head of the Fan Leader Network for Portugal, Elizabeth Reyes, stressed that the presence of Portugal's squad, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, in the 22nd World Cup edition will be a major event.
She hopes that Portugal will go further in the tournament under coach Fernando Santos.
Head of the Fan Leader Network for Mexico, Yezenia Navarro, said that all the elements indicate that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be an exceptional and distinguished tournament for fans in all respects, whether in terms of the magnificent stadiums, distinguished sports facilities, or means of transportation that allow ease of mobility between stadiums.
Member of the Fan Leader Network for Iran, Setareh Raeisi, said that Qatar is putting the final touches to the launch of this global event.



She said that Iranian fans are eagerly awaiting the kick-off to watch the Iranian squad.
Raeisi added that Qatar's preparations are going great, and that she is looking forward to welcome Iranian fans in Doha to support the Iranian squad in their matches, which begin against England in Group B on November 21 at Khalifa International Stadium.
In his remarks to QNA, the head of the Fan Leader Network for Tunisia Aymen Sassi praised the exciting atmosphere present here in Doha, with less than 30 days left for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
He said that the reason behind his participation in the fan leader network is to represent Tunisian fans, whether they are in Qatar or coming from Tunisia and all parts of the world, to everything related to attending this global event.



Member of the Fan Leader Network for Morocco, Aziz Ait Bihi, said that fan preparations are in progress to welcome the Morocco squad.
He added that they are having almost daily meetings to prepare for such awaited event.
The Fan Leader Network is playing an important role in helping supporters enjoy the first tournament in the region.
In July 2021, the SC launched Qatar's Fan Leader Network.
The Fan Leader Network comprises fans from across the world who are involved in creating and sharing key information about Qatar and the FIFA World Cup 2022 with their networks.
