The Criminal Evidence and Information Department (CEID) at Ministry of Interior (MOI) organised an introductory meeting on Interpol’s Global Guidelines for Digital Forensic Laboratories today morning. Brig. Jamal Muhammad Al Kaabi, DG of Criminal Investigation, Brig. Nasser Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of the CEID and Brig. Adel Abdul Hamid Al Emadi, Director of the Forensic Laboratory Dept, and students of Joaan bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies attended the meeting.

Brig. Jamal Muhammad Al Kaabi stressed the importance of the meeting in raising efficiency and developing digital laboratories' capabilities, aiming to combat cybercrime. He praised the young Qatari competencies working in this field and urged the participants to take advantage of modern technologies to ensure security and prevent cybercrimes.

Brig. Al Mahmoud explained that this meeting for the officials of digital forensic evidence at Ministry of Interior (MoI) Qatar and other competent authorities introduces the Interpol Global Guidelines for Digital Forensic Laboratories.

Captain Engineer Hamad Ahmed Al-Mohammed from the Technical Assistance Section presented the importance of digital evidence and  Interpol Guidelines to establish and manage digital forensic laboratories.
