The Police College celebrated on Saturday the graduation of cadets from the college's fifth batch, from specialised courses of thunderbolt, diving, and parachute jumping.
The ceremony was attended by HE the Adviser to the Minister of Interior, Major-General Dr Abdullah Yusuf al-Mal, who is also the Vice-President of the Supreme Council of the Police College, along with several department directors and senior officers from various military authorities.



HE Major-General al-Mal presented the graduates with course badges and honoured several authorities for their efforts in training the candidates in the specialised courses.
Police College director-general Brigadier Abdul Rahman Majid al-Sulaiti expressed his happiness at the cadets passing the courses, and stated that these courses qualify candidates to tackle various security tasks.
He said that the diverse and distinct training developed the candidates' field skills and raised their security capabilities.
Brigadier al-Sulaiti added that these training programmes require high physical fitness and endurance, as well as psychological and mental readiness, and decision-making ability.
Training Department director Major Fahad Saeed al-Subaie stressed that the students’ mastery of all the exercises and complex scenarios in the specialised courses came as a result of the quality of the approved training programme.
During the ceremony, Military Training Department head Major Abdullah al-Muhannadi said that since its establishment, the Police College has been keen on keeping pace with the best training programmes in accordance with international standards approved for police colleges around the world.
On behalf of the graduates, Ali Mohamed Nasser gave a speech where he said that having spent three months in theoretical and practical training, and despite their difficulty and hard stages, the programme turned out to be one of the most best experiences in their lives because it provided them with various skills in diving, parachute jumping, and thunderbolt training.
He added that the courses developed their capabilities in multiple fields.
Nasser added that they underwent highly complex scenarios, preparing them to perform all the security tasks that will be entrusted to them in the future in a professional and distinguished manner.
