Amir chairs Qatar's delegation to Arab Summit in Algeria Tuesday

 

 

 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will head the delegation of Qatar to the Summit-Level Meeting of the Council of the Arab League in the 31st Ordinary Session, to be held Tuesday in Algiers, capital of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. An official delegation is accompanying His Highness the Amir.Qatar News Agency (QNA) said His Highness the Amir was keen to accept the invitation of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to participate in the summit, believing in the importance of strengthening joint Arab action and solidarity in the face of many regional and international crises.His Highness the Amir will participate along with the leaders of Arab countries, in discussing a number of important and urgent issues on the 31st Arab League Council Summit's agenda. This includes the Palestinian file, the situations in Libya, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and Sudan, the reiteration of adhering to the Arab Peace Initiative as a way to achieve peace, the establishment of a Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, as well as the issue of Arab food security and achievement of economic integration.Ministers, officials and political analysts from various Arab countries said that the active participation of Qatar in the summit is an extension of its unremitting efforts to promote joint Arab action under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani , noting that Qatar's high level representation in the Arab Summit affirms the continued efforts of Qatar's active diplomacy and its approach aimed at strengthening the unity of the Arab ranks to confront the dangers facing the Arab nation.Speaker of the Council of the Nation of Algeria (upper house of Algerian Parliament) Salah Goudjil affirmed his country is honoured by the personal participation of His Highness the Amir in the Arab Summit, adding that the Amir's attendance affirms his well-known keenness on Arab integration and gives the event a greater motivation to achieve goals and strengthen joint Arab action to face the serious challenges and the rapid transformations the world is experiencing.He said the Algeria Summit is a gathering for achieving unity amidst exceptional international circumstances that require more coordination and solidarity, noting that Qatar is an active and influential member of the Arab House, and His Highness the Amir's presence contributes positively to each joint action plan aimed at serving the interest of the Arab nation.
