North West Bay beaches set to open before Nov 20

Final touches are being given to the development works of the beaches located north of the West Bay and these are set to receive visitors by November 15.These beaches, both private and public, provide various experiences that offer visitors options of entertainment and food. The beaches are set to open ahead of the launch of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on November 20. While B12 Beach Club Doha is set to be opened on November 15, West Bay North Beach is to open on November 17, among other beaches, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.B12 Beach Club Doha can accommodate up to 1,500 persons and provide different western and oriental foods with seating options on the sandy beach.Further, it has a number of playgrounds for football and volleyball and is equipped with 40 highly efficient emergency exits. The project also supports protecting the environment through using recycling methods in beach cleaning.These new beaches will feature a number of art installations that suit the surrounding marine environment and the beautification works are still underway to enhance the aesthetic scenery there.The North West Bay Beaches are located on around 602,200 sqm stretching for 1.2 km, and divided into three main parts hosting a public beach and 12 other private beaches that offer services to visitors. The new beaches offer visitors a variety of services including dedicated areas for marine and beach sports, showers, commercial and service kiosks, in addition to a good number of rooms for changing.The beaches have 305 private vehicles' parking lots with 36 of these dedicated to the physically challenged, in addition to 60 lots for bicycles. There is a 1.7 km- long walking track eight meters wide with seats installed alongside to relax. The beaches have two kids play zones as well linked to the track. The walking track has adequate and sophisticated lighting system and equipped with surveillance cameras to enhance the safety of users. WiFi is available round the clock.
