The Indian Embassy in Qatar shared a travel advisory on Twitter regarding the carrying of medicines to Qatar.

All travellers to Qatar are advised to exercise due caution in carrying medicines. In this context, the following is advised:

(i) It is prohibited to carry medicines which contain narcotics or psychotropic substances while arriving in the State of Qatar. These include medicines like - Lyrica, Tramadol, Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium), Zolam, Clonazepam, Zolpidem, Codeine, Methadone, Pregabalin.

(ii) Carrying prohibited medicines to Qatar can lead to arrest and jail sentence. The full list of prohibited/banned medicines may be seen at: Prohibited Medicines List

(iii) Do not carry medicines for friends and family.

(iv) Medicines which are not banned and meant for personal use should be with proper prescription only for a period of 30 days from a recognised doctor and a reputed hospital.
