Ooredoo showcases digital innovations, capabilities at ‘3rd Middle East Enterprise AI & Analytics Summit’

Ooredoo has recently participated in the ‘3rd Middle East Enterprise AI & Analytics Summit’, which took place in Doha.The Qatar edition of the annual summit brought together high-level delegates from the Middle East region to exchange views on AI and analytics implementation, streamlining, and scalability best practices. Speaking at the event were Mariam Ahmed al-Khal, senior director ICT Product Development; Ali Danish Malik, head of Analytics, Ooredoo Qatar; and Amna Ahmed al-Mazroei, assistant director of HR Transformation, Ooredoo Group.Al-Khal opened the conference by highlighting the importance of data and AI capabilities in Qatar’s organisations, enabled by digital innovations, including 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT). She also discussed the launch of TASMU Smart Qatar programme, on which Ooredoo collaborated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, as a recent example of the successful deployment of data-driven strategies to power smart solutions.Malik later spoke about ‘digitalisation’ of data and analytics in the field of telecommunications with specific examples of how telcos like Ooredoo are unlocking the tremendous benefits of technological developments, such as automation, AI, advanced analytics, and machine learning. Al-Mazroei discussed digital transformation and AI in the field of telecommunications by emphasising the efforts needed to upskill and reskill the workforce for the future by adopting a culture of continuous learning and having an immersive technology-enabled learning experience. Al-Khal said, “As a forward-thinking nation with its finger on the pulse of the evolving landscape, Qatar has implemented its National AI Strategy, which aims to leverage AI to secure Qatar’s economic and strategic future as envisioned in Qatar National Vision 2030. “At Ooredoo, we are committed to supporting Qatar’s digital transformation journey and have been on our own fast-track path to digitalisation and smartification. That is why it was such an honour to be invited to speak at such an esteemed gathering of industry leaders, to be able to share our experiences.”
